02 / DAD STRENGTH

Dad Strength

A training app I built for the hours I actually have.

What it is

Dad Strength tells you what to lift today. You pick a program, you train, you log it, and next week adjusts off what you actually did — not what the plan hoped you’d do.

The numbers are calculated, not generated. Same inputs, same prescription, every time. There’s no coach in a chat window guessing at your squat.

Why it exists

I train between four and eight in the morning, at home, around an infant who has no interest in my program.

Nothing I tried was built for that. They assumed a gym I don’t go to, an hour I can’t reliably find, and a week that goes the way you drew it. Mine doesn’t. Some weeks I get four sessions in. Some weeks I get two and a walk.

So the window is the constraint the whole thing is built around. Sessions that fit it. A week that bends when the week goes sideways. A program that still knows what it’s doing when you come back.

Proof

  • The app is live, and it’s the only thing I train on.
  • Three programs — Power Dad, Dad Built, Hybrid Dad. Each is a 13-week block that tests you at the end.
  • A morning protocol: the short list I run before the house wakes up.
  • That’s the whole list. The meal planner and shopping list are live. Pick a dinner menu, tap any meal for the full recipe, tick off what you already have at home, and get a shopping list laid out in store order.
